Great Wolf Lodge

On Thursday afternoon we headed to Traverse City to Great Wolf Lodge with Scott & Angie and the boys. Little Ceasars for supper.

Justin and Jacob were too scared to go under the bucket but Nathan did. Here they are watching Nathan from a distance.

It took a LOT of coaxing but Justin went down the waterslide by himself - and he liked it!

He also went down the other slide with Dad - he tolerated it!

He loved the lazy river - he spent a lot of time floating and swimming around the loop.

Levi went down the waterslide with Dad too - he did NOT tolerate it...

He wasn't very happy about his ride!

On Tuesday, January 20 (10 days late!) Brent & Kathy welcomed Lacy Kay a gift from God.

Back in the Air

It has been a while since Eric went flying due to our lovely Michigan weather. But finally this week he had the opportunity to take Dad R., Justin & Levi for a ride.Eric doing a couple of touch & go landings before they all took off.

Eric's Birthday

January 7 we celebrated Eric's birthday! The boys were so excited to help Daddy celebrate! His cake with trick candles - the boys had so much fun trying to blow them all out!
The boys both made their "own" cards for Daddy and really liked watching him open them!

Happy Birthday Eric! Thanks for being the best husband a girl could ever ask for! I am so blessed to call you mine! I love you!!

Lucia Arrives from Ethiopia

On Friday, January 2 at 8:45 p.m. we welcomed Lucia and Rob & Mary home from Ethiopia. Rob & Mary left on Christmas Eve to go pick Lucia up. After a very successful trip we were eagerly anticipating their arrival! Levi was SO excited to meet his new cousin and was so proud of his sign!

Lucia was so precious and when she felt a little overwhelmed by it all she just snuggled into her daddy's neck.

It was quite an adventure for all of them!

Rob said he wouldn't cry until he saw me... he was crying before me... but his tears didn't help me keep my tears contained! It was amazing to be a part of such a special reunion!
