On Sunday morning December 28 at about 5:15 as we laid in bed listening to the wind howl we were expecting finally happened! The power went out! We heard the tree fall and the power line snap. .JPG)

When it was light out - Eric went out and inspected the damage. Sure enough there were at least 3 trees on two different sets of power lines. It was a mangled mess of power lines. The problem was that the only two houses affected by this lines were ours and our neighbor. Everyone else on our street had power. Which is the reason that our power did not come back on until 65 hours later - 8:15 p.m. Tuesday night!.JPG)

My goal was to have one of my albums complete before 2009 so I spent hours by candlelight working on my books - what better to do when you are sitting in the dark? I did accomplish my goal too! Never take electricity for granted - especially your well - when it comes to flushing toilets!
