Successful Spring Turkey Season!

Yesterday - was Eric's opening day of turkey season. He had the day off and spent the morning in the woods. He didn't see too much. He came in for lunch and there was no way that Justin was going to let him go back out without him! So off they went... about 3:30 I heard whoops and hollers as they were walking up the driveway with a turkey! They were SO excited! Eric said the best part was that he was able to have a successful hunt with his son! It was precious! They made some great memories! Justin actually "called" the turkey in while Eric got his bow ready! Shot with a Great Northern Ghost Recurve Bow.
The turkey's stats:
24 lbs
10 1/2 inch beard
1 inch spurs

Levi thought is was pretty cool too!

Wow! That is quite a turkey. How fun that your boys get to hang out with their dad. Graet memories!

Congrats! Glad to hear that the hunt went well. Justin is really growing up. It won't be long until all three of your boys are out hunting (maybe with my three) and than we can scrapbook!
