Florida

July 7 - 11 Eric, Miley & I headed to Florida. Miley slept through her first plane trip and was a super traveler! We were so grateful!

Our mission while in Florida was to find a house to rent and to have the papers signed before we left. Our first morning out we were very disappointed. We had a pile of possibilities off of the internet and we had already talked with several realtors. The morning started out and every house that we looked at was nothing like the listing said it was... more run down, too small, not great neighborhoods... we pulled into a parking lot to feed Miley and Eric continued to call realtors and no one would answer his calls. After leaving several messages he quit leaving messages... I said "Maybe the one who finally talks to us will be the one..." His next call was from a listing on Craig's List. The realtors talked to us, wanted to show us the house in a half hour, met us there and it was perfect! It was the newest, nicest, biggest, best neighborhood and also one of the cheapest ones we looked at... and very quickly it became "ours!"
Our house is in a small development called Hidden Lake. There is a lake in the middle and there are houses all around it. We are on the outer part of the circle.
This is our house! It sits on an outside corner lot so the lot is shaped like a pie. We have a nice sized backyard.

While in Vero we stayed in a fabulous hotel. La Costa de Este. It is owned by Emilio & Gloria Estephan. It was quite the place! Absolutely gorgeous! We were oceanside and it was so nice!
Miley cashed out on the king size bed.
We took Miley for a swim in the pool and hot tub - it was her first time in a pool. She wasn't certain - but she was also very tired!
Sitting in the hot tub... she fell asleep!

It was a great trip and we came home very excited about our "new" house!!
